Crunchyroll announced today (see press release) that one of the many titles they will be simulcasting this winter is Hourou Musuko. Now that it’s been licensed by them we will no longer be subbing it. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we do not wish to harm the anime industry by subbing licensed series. Please stay tuned for further updates and hopefully a new project announcement!

It’s sad that you guys are dropping this coz I was really hoping to watch subs other than Crunchy shit. But didn’t you guys subbed Sora No Woto which was simulcast on Crunchy before?
Crunchy didn’t start on Sora no Woto until ep 2, and iirc they didn’t simulcast.
It’s too bad you’re dropping it, because the phrasing on the trailer seems kind of horribly awkward. However, do whatever you think is best.
Dropping it just because Cr is doing it is weak.
We all know that in the future Cr will be simulcasting more and more series.

It’s true though if your gonna keep this policy you won’t be able to sub any anime anymore and subbing the none license is quite pointless cause they’ll be oversub.
